JOB DETAILS:
Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit highly committed and passionate employees for the position of Human Resources Officer – Operations to join the versatile Human Resources team on a short-term basis. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Coordinator – Human Resources, you will be responsible to provide support in various Human Resources functions.
Your duties will include but not limited to the following:
• Providing support to Coordinator – Human Resources
• Assist in conducting interviews, reference checking and creating employment contracts, preparing and conducting inductions for new employees, managing on boarding processes and exit interviews
• Providing support and assistance to supervisors/managers with grievance handling, dispute resolution, performance management and disciplinary issues.
• Updating and maintaining employee details in element and excel master data files.
• Assist in creating employee physical files
• Involvement in the implementation human resources initiatives and projects.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements.
• Full grade 12 school certificate.
• Degree in a Human Resource Management or equivalent.
• Minimum of (1) year experience in Human Resource Management.
• Sound knowledge of contemporary HR practice and compliance.
• Must have good understanding and able to interpret the Zambian Labour Laws
• Must be admitted to the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.
• Experience in the mining industry an added advantage.
