Job Description
Ict Officer – Technical Support, Salary Grade Zra06 (2 Positions)-Business Facilitation, Ict Function
A. Purpose
Reporting directly to the Senior ICT Officer – Outstation Operations, the job holder will be responsible for effectively supporting the Authority business through the provision of timely, cost effective, efficient, and professional ICT end-user support, ICT training and awareness through consultation, agreements and research with end users and service providers for the purpose of achieving corporate goals.

B. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Tracking, updating, closing and dealing with all incidences assigned within agreed time periods;
2. Ensuring that users are making full usage of the available features on ICT end-user desktop application systems;
3. Ensuring proper usage of all ICT end-user systems;
4. Conducting and implementing ICT training within the Authority business areas on various end-user desktop application and/or software whenever required;
5. Actively performing installations, configuration, and protection of all ICT end-user systems;
6. Ensuring that all ICT end-user software and hardware assets are properly accounted for and accessories adhere to ICT standards;
7. Creating, maintaining, enforcing, and providing ICT end-user systems documentation, procedures, and manuals;
8. Performing and supervising safe storage of all ICT information media at appropriate locations;
9. Performing repairs of all faulty ICT end-user equipment and accessories brought to helpdesk;
10. Performing and supervising routine maintenance of all ICT end-user equipment;
11. Ensuring the availability of much needed ICT end-user systems accessories, service manuals, spares, and essential tools; and
12. Carrying out research on latest ICT End User systems trends in the world and providing advice and recommending direction to ICT management on ICT networking matters.

C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Grade Twelve School Certificate/General Certificate of Education Equivalent with five (5) Credits or better;
2. Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent;
3. Minimum four (4) years’ relevant post qualifying work experience in the Information and Communication Technology profession; and
4. Must be a valid member of ICTAZ or any other relevant professional body
