Job Purpose
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Respond to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution. .

Key Responsibilities;
• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
• Produce system reports within the business system as required and maintaining an up to date IT Asset Register.
• Train computer users on usage of the applications implemented
• Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
• Respond to email messages for users seeking help; Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
• Walk End users through problem-solving process.
• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
• Clean up computer hardware as per schedule provided by the system administrator
• Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
• Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
• Install computer peripherals for users.
• Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
• Gain feedback from customers about computer usage
• Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
• Evaluate User needs and systems functionality to ensure the dept. meets optimal business needs by; proactively training end users on IT Tools and Resources provided.
• Any other Job responsibilities or tasks as assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar.
• A Degree in any of the above fields will be a plus
• Microsoft Certification
• .A+ and Linux+ Certification will be a plus
• Must have a minimum of 3 – 4 years as IT Support Technician or related
• Working experience with a Telecoms or ISP Company will be an added advantage
• Proven experience in Windows Server administration and Active Directory (DNS, MSSQL)
• Proven experience in Networking and Troubleshooting Systems
• Experience in System Integration, IT Infrastructure and networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, LAN/WAN, switching,)
• Ability to work in Multiculture Environment
• Must be a member of ICTAZ
