JOB DETAILS:

Specific tasks:
The team of Imihigo Planning and Monitoring officer will be required to work on the following specific tasks, but not limited to as follows: For Districts Imihigo Planning and Monitoring officer:

  • Review and map districts Imihigo to national priorities and provide feedback where needed;
  • Review the phrasing of set districts monitoring indicators and their relevance on the concerned Imihigo and provision of feedback;
  • Review the baselines for identified indicators for districts Imihigoand ensure that they are robust and accurate before implementation;
  • Review quarterly monitoring districts Imihigo reports against set targets and milestones and provide feedback;
  • Compile the monitoring districts indicators report that shows the status for each concerned district on quarterly basis;
  • Conduct the spot checks for specific projects implemented by districtsto confirm the facts when needed;

For Institutions Imihigo Planning and Monitoring officer:

  • Review and map Institutions Imihigo to national priorities and provide feedback where needed;
  • Review the phrasing of set institutions monitoring indicators and their relevance on concerned Imihigo and provide feedback;
  • Review the baselines for identified indicators for institutions Imihigo and ensure that they are robust and accurate before implementation;
  • Review monitoring institutions Imihigo reports against set targets and milestones and provide feedbackon quarterly basis;
  • Compile the monitoring institutions indicators report that shows the status for each concerned institution on quarterly basis;
  • Conduct the spot checks for the specific projects implemented by the institutions to confirm the facts when needed;

For Joint Imihigo Planning and Monitoring officer:

  • Review and map Joint Imihigo to national priorities and provide feedback where needed;
  • Review the phrasing of set joint monitoring indicators and their relevance on the concerned Imihigo and provide feedback;
  • Review the baselines for identified indicators for jointImihigo and ensure that they are robust and accurate before implementation;
  • Review quarterly monitoring jointImihigo reports against set targets and milestones and provide feedback;
  • Compile the monitoring joint indicators report that shows the status for each concerned joint lead institution on quarterly basis;
  • Conduct the spot checks for specific projects implemented by the joint lead institution to confirm the facts when needed;

Deliverables
The team of ImihigoM&E Specialists will be required to provide the following deliverables, but not limited to as follows: For Districts Imihigo Planning and Monitoring officer:

  • Report on reviewed and mapped districts Imihigo to national priorities and feedback provided;
  • Report on rephrased districts monitoring indicators and their relevance on the concerned Imihigo;
  • Report on reviewed baselines for identified indicators for districts Imihigo;
  • Report on reviewed quarterly monitoring districts Imihigo reports against set targets and milestones and feedback to be provided;
  • Report on compiled quarterly monitoring districts indicators that shows the status for each concerned district;
  • Report on conducted spot checks for the specific projects implemented by the district to confirm the facts;

For Institutions Imihigo Planning and Monitoring officer:

  • Report on reviewed and mapped institutions Imihigo to national priorities and feedback provided;

  • Report on reviewed baselines for identified indicators for jointImihigo;

  • Report on conducted spot checks for the specific projects implemented by the joint lead institution to confirm the facts;

Job Profile
Required qualifications Each member of Imihigo planning and monitoring Officers should have the following minimum qualifications:

  • University degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, demography, project management or social science in general;
  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in planning and monitoring, evaluation or project management in public or private sector;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of national planning processes;
  • Demonstrated writing skills in English;
  • Availability and readiness to start working immediately after recruitment.
