JOB DETAILS:
1. Job purpose:
2. Responsible for planning, directing, leading, overseeing and providing leadership in the design, development, installation, management and maintenance of ICT in the University.

2. Main duties:
1. Initiate and participate in the formulation/review of policies, strategies, technology plans, work manuals, procedures and related documentation.
2. Assess the University’s need for any and all computing technology and make appropriate recommendations for purchases and upgrades.
3. Oversee all aspects of ICT information security, protocol, compliance and management to protect ICT resources.
4. Oversee the installation and maintenance of applications and network systems to ensure optimum use of ICT infrastructure and resources
5. Give expert guidance in the application of Information Technology and Communication resources to support teaching, learning and research.
6. Ensure overall supervision of staff in order to facilitate efficient and effective operation of the department.
7. Ensure generation of financial resources for smooth operations of the department through consultancies and training

Minimum Qualifications and experience:
1. Grade Twelve (12) or Form five (V) School Certificate with 5 “O” Levels including Mathematics and English.
2. Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology
3. Master`s Degree in Computer Sciences , Information Technology or Information Systems Management will be an added advantage
4. Must have networking experience or network professional Certification.
5. Must have Software Development and server administration experience
6. At least five (05) years of practical work experience in ICT Management, preferably in a higher learning institution.
7. Must have proof of valid membership of Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ)
