Zambia Sugar Plc (ZS) is a fully integrated sugar company that cultivates sugar cane, processes it into sugar and by-products. Zambia Sugar Plc. operates from Nakambala Estates which is about 135km south of Lusaka,
ZS invites Eol from qualified and eligible companies for the provision of transportation services of sugar, sugar products and molasses from following areas to the various destinations with the exception of molasses which originates only from Nakambala) in the following categories:
Long distance haulage-Local 2. Local customer deliveries 3. Over-border haulage
Nakambala, Mazabuka, Lusaka, Ndola, Livingstone, Chipata, Mongu, Solwezi. Mpika, Mansa, Kasama, and over-border transportation services to Durban and Johannesburg in South Africa and Beira in Mozambique. Molasses destinations extend to various other locations within Zambia, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. The Proposed transport Agreement required for a period of 2 (Two) years.
A detailed tender document will only be extended to companies that have prequalified through this Eol.

The purpose of this Eol is to invite reputable companies to submit proposals to Zambia Sugar for the provision of transportation services for sugar, sugar products and molasses. This Eol is not a tender but merely a prequalifying process for the purpose of a forthcoming tender process.
Zambia Sugar will review and adjudicate the Eol submissions and the selected companies will be invited to tender
Scope of works
The scope of work is the provision of transportation services in the districts of Zambia and over-border destinations as listed in 2.1 above.

Minimum requirements
Minimum number of trucks to dedicate to Zambia Sugar Plc. All submissions must clearly indicate the number of trucks to be dedicated for this purpose:
Long haulage-local Minimum of 05 trucks b. Local customer deliveries Minimum of 2 trucks
Over-border haulage Minimum of 5 trucks 2. Good in Transit Insurance cover 3. GPS Tracking system will be added advantage 4. CILT registration will be added advantage
Qualification criteria and requseted information
Interested parties must provide a Company Profile detailing the following
Company experience in the provision of similar services. 6.1.2 Certificate of Incorporation and PACRA Registration, Valid Tax Clearance
Certificate, Valid Workers Compensation Compliance Certificate, Valid NAPSA
Compliance Certificate and Valid Tax Certificate 6.1.3 Details of relevant jobs undertaken by the firm in the last three years 6.1.4 Key staffing levels, skills, qualifications and summary of experience 6.1.5 Documented proof of existing/previous clients. 6.1.6 Preferred Operational Area of interest (as in 2.1) and Lot (as in 5.1) 6.1.7 Company Road service licence 6.1.8 List of trucks and trailers with the respective registration numbers

Kindly Note that the Eol will be evaluated on the basis of all the above criteria. This Eol and or any Tender/Enquiry resulting from this Eol shall be subject to Zambia Sugar's Standard Trading Conditions.

Submission procedure
All submissions shall be made electronically, and must be clearly marked "EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR SUGAR TRANSPORTATION SERVICES", addressed to the Procurement & Inventory Manager and emailed to NMumba@zamsugar.zm
