Invitation for expression of interest to engage a strategic technical and equity partner at Kabwe Textiles Limited

PROVINCE ZAMBIA-IDC/EOI/001/2022
Kabwe Textiles Limited ("KTL") is a special purpose vehicle setup to establish and operationalize a textiles factory to produce grey cloth and garments from locally grown and ginned cotton. Centrally located within the Kabwe Multi-Facility Economic Zone, its central location will provide easy access to raw materials, labour, and the distribution of produce.
The factory will produce high quality personal protective equipment, durable professional and military uniforms as well as high-grade African design prints among other products for local, regional, and international markets.
The terms of reference are therefore aimed at inviting prospective partners to invest alongside the Industrial Development Corporation in establishing a greenfield textiles factory plant in Kabwe, Central Province, Zambia.
The purpose of this call is to provide certain information to the parties that wish to participate in the development of Kabwe Textiles Limited ("KTL").
Interested persons (hereinafter referred to as Bidders) are required to respond to these terms of reference by submitting their detailed responses with supporting documentation as stipulated hereunder. Incomplete and non-compliant responses will not be considered;
Bidders must submit their experience, financial, and technical capabilities in having operated or invested in the textiles industry in the last ten (10) years;
Detailed curricula vitae must be submitted of persons who will be directly involved in the operations of KTL;
A minimum of three contactable references related to similar previous/current projects are required. Please include the contact details of such references for verification; and
Detailed Company Profile.
Completed Expression of Interest (EOI) must be submitted in two (2) printed copies (1 original and 1 copy) which should be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked "INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF
