JOB DETAILS:
IRRIGATION ENGINEER – ZAMBIA
FES Zambia Limited (FES) the leading supplier of premium brand products including Massey Ferguson tractors, AJ Power Generators, Netafim and Zimmatic Irrigation systems and Komatsu construction machinery has an immediate vacancy for an Irrigation Engineer based at its office in Lusaka Zambia reporting to the Group Business Development and Irrigation Manager. .

Profile
• Plan, design and oversee construction of irrigation projects to expected quality and standards
• Utilize computer aided design software to design irrigation systems.
• Troubleshoot problems that may come up during installation of irrigation system.
• Maintenance of irrigation systems, variable speed drives and pumps.
• Monitor stock and ensure timeous ordering.
• Set daily work programmes.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards.

Minimum Requirements
• Degree related to Agricultural or Irrigation Engineering. Valid Drivers' License
• Previous Experience
• Minimum 15 years proven experience in design and implementation of irrigation systems, including centre pivots systems, sprinkler systems, and drip/micro irrigation systems.
• Professionally Registered Engineer Irrigation planning, designing and implementation experience.
• Experience in managing and maintaining large commercial irrigation systems - experience in more than one crop is preferable.
• Proven experience in working with and setting up variable speed drives
• Experience with Farm Machinery International and local procurement experience.
