Job Title: Lab Biotechnology for Biochemistry
Level: 5.II
Reports To: Director of Clinical Pathology Unit

Job Description
• Ensure preventive maintenance and the good functioning of equipment within the service
• Ensure the management of the stock and consumables within the section.
• Maintain continuous quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Participate in biomedical research studies done within the service
• Participate in training of district laboratory technicians and supervision in supervision &
• mentorship of district hospitals and HC laboratories.
• Perform tests according to the SOPs
• Prepare reports of trainings and supervisions done and submit them to the supervisor
• Ensure safety precaution and hygiene in the laboratory
• Maintain proper records of tests performed
• Accomplish any other task if needed. In collaboration with Laboratory network Coordination unit and MOH:
• Review the reports from mentorship and supervision activities
• Participate in planned assessment in laboratory network
Job Profile
Bachelor’s degree in biomedical laboratory sciences or Biotechnology degree with a biomedical laboratory sciences background
Working experience in Medical lab
Comprehensive knowledge of the work practices, processes and procedures relevant to the Laboratory activity.
