Kalene hills Fruit Company limited (KFCL) is a company that is wholly owned by Zambia Fruit Company a subsidiary of the industrial development corporation. The company is in Mwinilunga district of northwestern province. The company has a hybrid fruit and vegetable processing plant with a processing capacity of more than 3 metric tonnes per hour. As part of its growth strategy a need has arisen to fill the following positions.

Summary
Responsible for receiving, testing analyzing, recording, and reporting results of their tests.

Responsibilities and duties
• A lab technician is responsible for receiving, testing, analyzing, recording and reporting results of their tests.
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment.
• Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs, staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field.
• Receiving, labelling and safely storing samples to be tested.
• Conducting experiments under defined conditions to verify.

Skills
• Good spoken and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi task.
• Good problem-solving skills
• Should have a strong background in mathematics, science, biology chemistry and physics.

Qualifications
Full grade twelve certificate with good grades in sciences.
• Diploma in lab technician at a reputable institution
• 2years experience will be added advantage in the similar field.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Associate Degree
