JOB DETAILS:

• LOGISTIC SUPERVISOR – (LOGISTICS – HUNTLEY FARM) (01)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:
• Supervision of the day fleet operation activities in line with the company objectives.
• Supervision of the weighbridge operation, driver workloads and scheduled tasks in line with the company objectives.
• To manage a comprehensive fleet refrigeration and temperature database.
• Ensuring compliance of safety standards in transportation operations.
• Supervision of fleet management systems (weighbridge, Geotab track and temperature).
• Constant and consistent update, of all databases relating to the fleet management system and weighbridge.
• Initiating cost-efficiency measures in transportation operations (route- assessment, backloads, load utilization, and vehicle turnaround).
• Building internal and external customer relationships.
• Supervision of fleet operations and tasks to be completed in an efficient and effective time manner.
• Driving track allocation for the various transportation requests.
• Conducting and compiling route assessment reports identifying potential hazards and route planning.
• Identifying and assigning vehicles for delivery of products (in view of the type and qty of goods).
• Reviewing and supervision of both trip and journey management for inbound and outbound delivery.
• Monitoring evaluating and identifying customer delays in outbound delivery.
• Perform in collaboration with the Logistics Manager to enhance load capacity and reduce damaged products and loading errors.
• Handle client concerns and direct problems to suitable parties.
• Recording driver concerns along with policy violations and directing main issues to the logistics Manager.
• Ensuring to address safety violations as recorded to every company driver.
• To manage driver off days and leave days.
• Responsible for maintenance of discipline in line with laid down procedures outlined in the disciplinary code and grievances handling procedure book.
• Be part of the disciplinary committee when called upon by HR to hear and determine disciplinary cases concerning staff in line with the disciplinary code and grievances handling procedure book.
• Undertake any related tasks that can be assigned to you by your supervisor from time to time.

The Required Qualifications are:
• Must have a grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Logistics and Transport
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in Transport and Logistics
• Computer literacy a must
• Strong Excel Skills
