JOB DETAILS:
Logistics Manager – NOVATEK Mpongwe
The successful candidate will be responsible for the below:
• Keeping an up to date plan and record of the maintenance requirements of the fleet and ensures that drivers are well instructed and carry out the required activities as according to the maintenance plan.
• Follows ups will have to be done on a random basis.
• Organising the external maintenance of the small vehicles fleet, by informing service providers prior to the arrival of the vehicle. Maintain schedule service of the commercial fleet in liaison with our group workshops.
• Controlling and managing the pool vehicle and the driver responsible, instructing his daily routine.
• Communicating with external transporters, for the aid of logistics, when Novatek fleet is fully utilised, (external transporters management).
• Monitoring weighbridge operations and ensures is working properly through random spot checks receives and complies daily reports from weighbridge.
• Training, motivating and developing subordinates in line with company training schedule through the provision of on the job training, recommending deserving staff for promotion/training at local institution.
• Instilling and maintaining discipline within the department
• Performing any other task assigned to him by superior.
• Regularly check the Novatek Information Management System (NIMS) for compliance, update and implement new documents for all procedures, standing instructions and forms for your department. (Logistics)
• Ensuring all drivers licences are up to date and that all certificates are valid.

Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics or related qualifications
• Grade 12 certificate
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Sober habits and trust worthy.
