JOB DETAILS:
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Electrician – Low Voltage to join the Maintenance team.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor – Shovels, you will improve the reliability and availability of equipment by building assessing and continuously improving the equipment availability. Identify, develop and implement improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness of field maintenance and operations processes. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Manage the maintenance of all field equipment i.e., Komatsu Shovels etc.
• Install, Maintain, diagnose faults, and repair electrical wiring.
• Ability to apply appropriate methodical faulty finding and diagnostic techniques to different equipment and controls systems that includes electronics and electric systems.
• Replace electrical components.
• Able to understand and diagnose CAN- Bus systems on electric and diesel shovels
• Carry out structured routine safety inspections in cooperation with field maintenance Supervisors.
• Actively promote full cooperation between the maintenance and mining operation.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improving of maintenance processes and systems.
• Cooperate with the maintenance planners regarding input schedules and accurate information.
• Carry out routine and statutory inspections.
• Perform all duties as requested by Maintenance Supervisor

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Full Grade 12 certificate
• Diploma or Craft Certificate in Auto Electrical, Electronics, Field instrumentation or Equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Heavy Earthmoving Equipment maintenance. i.e., Komatsu /Hitachi shovels.
• Able to use equipment schematic diagrams, specifications, standards, and equipment manuals.
• Must be competent in air conditioning systems for heavy mobile equipment.
• Experience in large multi pit operations utilizing large scale mining equipment., Komatsu /Hitachi shovels
• Be physically fit and be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination.
• Must have a valid driver’s license of class B or higher.
• Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia.
• Must have valid silicosis.
