JOB DETAILS:
Grassroot Soccer (GRS) is a rapidly growing local adolescent health organization that leverages the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize youth in Zambia to overcome their greatest health challenges, live healthier, more productive lives, and be agents for change in their communities. Since 2005, GRS programs have reached over 25000 young people annually with life-saving HIV prevention and sexual and reproductive-health information and services in Zambia. Grassroot Soccer is looking to continue scaling its impact via over the next five years.

Grassroot Soccer Zambia in partnership with Right to Care Zambia (Prime) has been awarded a five (5) year project funded by the USAID through the PEPFAR mechanism. The Maintained Epidemic Control of HIV (MECH) Project aims to reduce HIV mortality, morbidity and transmission by achieving the UNAIDS and PEPFAR goal of 95/95/95 HIV treatment coverage by providing comprehensive HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment maintenance services in Luapula, Northern and Muchinga provinces of Zambia. Grassroot Soccer Zambia seeks to fill the following position for its Northern Province Project sites: -
M&E Coordinator-MECH(1)
Reports to: Project Manager
Location: Kasama

Job Purpose:
This position of M&E Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all monitoring, evaluation and learning tactical and operational activities on the project Key to this position include ensuring alignment of project activities with the M&E Startegy, tactical and operational planning, supporting project implementation as envisioned, tracking the roll-out of key performance indicators (KPIs), including capacity-building of Data Capturers/ Coaches, Program staff and oversight on M&E data and processes. The M&E Coordinator will additionally liaise with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager to oversee data flow processes and data quality controls, as well as develop and revise M&E tools. The M&E Coordinator will be encouraged to think creatively to keep GRS at the cutting edge of monitoring and evaluation processes, attend data reviews and create partnerships with key and relevant M&E stakeholders on the project.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The M&E Coordinator will report to the MEL Manager, working closely with the System Analyst & Developer, and will be based at the Kasama Regional Offices to monitor M&E activities on project sites in Kasama, Senga, Nsama and Mbala.

Qualifications and Experience
• Tertiary education (Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field preferred).
• Monitoring and Evaluation qualification will be advantageous
• 3 years of relevant M&E related work experience within the development sector (preferably the Health NGO sector)
