JOB DETAILS:
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling all matters related to farm maintenance, including staff management site maintenance, repairs, and staff training.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and control all aspects of farm maintenance in line with written procedures and budget.
• Implement and monitor bio-security procedures for movement of vehicles, equipment, and personnel.
• Maintain farm equipment according to asset register.
• Oversee minor repairs for farm equipment.
• Prepare budget for routine maintenance activities.
• Prepare fire prevention systems and train staff for fire management.
• Maintain farm and internal road networks in usable condition
• Establish correct security staffing levels and supervise and train security staff.
• Maintain boundary fences and ensure fencing poles and wires are intact.
• Supervise maintenance crew assigned to site.
• Hold monthly staff meeting to maintain productive workforce and cover training, repairs, security, and biosecurity.
• Adhere to company code of ethics and disciplinary code.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance programs, and repair strategies to optimize plant performance and minimize downtime Equipment
• Inspection and Repair: Regularly inspect and maintain all equipment, machinery, and production lines to ensure they are in good working condition Troubleshooting:
• Identify and resolve operational issues, equipment malfunctions, and production delays by implementing appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure the power situation and backup generators are always in good working order Manage stoppages.
• Supervise and train maintenance personnel, including fitters, electricians, and general maintenance staff, to maintain a skilled and efficient workforce Inventory and Cost Control:
• Manage inventory levels through stores, monitor and control costs, and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Knowledge of production plants management and maintenance systems Technical Expertise
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components, including motors, pumps, valves, control systems,

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in farm maintenance management
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of farm equipment maintenance and repair
• Knowledge of environmental conservation practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
