Subject: Vacancy for Man on Site - Kansanshi Mine in Zambia
The company has x1 position for a Man on site (MOS) to be based at Kansanshi mine in Zambia.
Objective of Job
To maintain the fleet of engines/MTU product located at Kansanshi mine area based on the Value Care Agreement (VCA) with the customer and should the feet increase, to manage any additional MTU personnel on site to strengthen customer relationships and customer satisfaction. .
Key Performance Areas & Duties
The Man On Site responsibilities shall inter alia include the following:
• Maintenance service of all MTU Engines
• SHEO (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality)
• Responsibility for all maintenance in a VCA contract,
• Maintain Stock control
• Maintenance of information for VCA
• Observe Communications Protocol
• Maintain On Site Relations
• Observe Laws and Regulations of the site
Competencies
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic/Millwright
• At least 5 years post qualification experience in Field Service or MOS
• Qualified diesel mechanic/fitter will be considered with 5 years MOS experience
• Valid Site medical certificate of fitness
• The following competency would be an advantage:
a. A2 (Risk assessment)
b. PUE training
c. RP License
d. Isolation lock out
e. Fire Fighting
f. First aid training
g. Legal Mine Health Safety training
h. Section 22 and 23 training
• OEM Requirements:
a. S4000 OLI, OL2, OL3 Training
b. S2000 OLI, OL2, OL3 Training
c. ADEC, DDEC
d. MTU Core acceptance criteria
e. Stock management and monthly stock takes
f. Isolation lock out Tribology
g. Basic Electrical drawing training
h. Failure analysis
i. Failure & Condition report writing
j. Soft people skills training
• Computer literacy
a. Microsoft office package
b. Diasys (optional)
c. Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link
Skills; knowledge and characteristics
• Effective communication skill
• Internally driven to achieve success.
• Highly develop teamwork skills
• Able to lead a team of artisans and site administrator
• Ability to increase productivity by continuously improve methods and procedures
• Commitment to continuous learning
