Job Overview:
• Ziba is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Management Trainee to join our Business Development team. This entry-level position is designed to provide comprehensive training and development in the field of business development, with a focus on scoping for opportunities, developing grant proposals, and implementing grant-funded projects. The Management Trainee will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining valuable hands-on experience and building a strong foundation in business development and project management. Ultimately, the position will transition into a Business Development Management role on a full-time basis at Ziba Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
Opportunity Scoping:
• Research and identify potential business opportunities, partnerships, and grant funding sources.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
Grant Proposal Development:
• Assist in the development of grant proposals, including research, proposal writing, and budget preparation.
• Collaborate with the Business Development team to ensure proposals align with organizational goals and objectives.
Project Implementation:
• Support the implementation of grant-funded projects, including project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure successful project outcomes and compliance with grant requirements.
Relationship Building:
• Cultivate relationships with potential partners, donors, and grant-making organizations.
• Attend networking events and conferences to expand Ziba’s business development opportunities.
Market Analysis:
• Analyze market dynamics, industry trends, and client needs to identify areas for business growth.
• Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent communication and writing abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Enthusiasm for learning and a strong desire to pursue a career in business development and project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Relevant internship or coursework in business development or grant writing.
• Basic understanding of grant application processes and requirements.
• Eagerness to take on new challenges and contribute to Ziba’s growth.
Career Path:
• Upon successful completion of the Management Trainee program, the individual will have the opportunity to transition into more specialized roles within the Business Development team at Ziba, such as Business Development Specialist or Grant Writer, based on their performance and aptitude demonstrated during the training period.
