JOB DETAILS:
• Job Purpose
The Marketing Manager will develop, implement and manage all marketing and publicity activities in close consultation with the Executive Team and relevant stakeholders. Develop and deliver a clearly articulated operational plan for Spreads to deliver against long and short-term category objectives. Work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement brand plans which deliver business objectives through innovation, media plans and activation Maintain positive working relationships with media outlets and their representatives. The Marketing Manager will also be responsible for all digital marketing activities. Increase the financial resources for coordinating effective marketing opportunities through sponsorships, trade-outs, partnership marketing and merchant involvement. Manage all digital marketing activities
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services.
• Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
• Determining the demand for products and services offered by the firm and its competitors and identify potential customers.
• Compile lists describing product or service offerings,
• Develop and drive long term brand vision delivering category and market share growth
• Develop and implement brand marketing plans taking into account local market and consumer insights
• Optimizing product assortment to fit market demands and introducing relevant innovations
• Developing pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing profits or shares of the market
• Overseeing product development or monitoring trends that indicate the need for new products and services
• Evaluate the effectiveness of key marketing activities in terms of sales results, consumer response and publicity value
• Conduct and evaluate marketing primary and secondary research, as needed, to evaluate product and services effectiveness.
• Managing pricing strategy in order to drive profitable growth
• Developing optimized communication & activation mix with a market relevant message together with creative agencies
• Planning and managing marketing promotions and campaigns .
• Take the lead in the development, administration and maintenance of the complete, yearly allocated marketing budget, including non-event and non-advertising related items.
• With help from the Procurement department, source and select competitive vendors in events management, printing, outdoor advertising , Radio and TV advert production e.t.c
• Manage and monitor the marketing team in the implementation of the set marketing plans
• Prepare and provide regular verbal and written reports including marketing plan summary, competitive analysis
• Develop and implement customer relations program that includes, but is not limited to, regular customer meetings, newsletter, personal calls and visits, customized marketing plans and sales incentives.
• Carrying weekly and monthly customer visits

Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Marketing /PR/Communications or related field
• Must have practical and continuous work experience of a minimum of 7+ years in Marketing, Branding and Advertising
• Proven experience in brand building and communication
• Marketing experience with a Multinational FMCG Company will be an added advantage
• Developed analytical skills of the FMCG market and what drives sales
• Experience in developing business strategy and implementation
• Strong communication and people skills
• Good team player and influencer
• Most have strong understanding of marketing techniques such as writing
and sending media releases and posting information on websites.
• Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and
devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
• Must be a member of ZIM /ZIPRC with a VALID practicing License / Certificate.
