JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose/Mission
Key to this function is uncovering consumer insights and delivering innovative marketing campaigns. In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, a Marketing Manager should be able to generate strategies that grow market share and brand’s reputation, improve customer experience and drive growth in Zambia and new markets as we scale.

Responsibilities

• Strategy and planning
• Designing quarterly campaigns and initiatives that drive the achievement of set Commercial KPIs; recognizing the impact each campaign has on our annual targets and budget.
• Collaborating with the Head of Sales & Marketing and Central team to craft and structure integrated marketing campaigns to build awareness and drive sales on a quarterly basis.
• Lead the creation of integrated marketing campaigns, setting budgets for specific lines items within the campaign plan.
• Responsible for refining customer segment definitions and ensuring all Marketing initiatives align with generated architypes.
• Must understand and interpret shifts in customer demographics and competition, identifying risks and crafting appropriate responses.
• Create ambitious but achievable marketing campaigns, promotions and initiatives that drive sales, positive customer repayment behavior and brand equity with minimum guidance from the Head of Department.
• Collaborates with Customer Experience & Sales team to develop marketing strategy to ensure both Service Centers and field team reflect the strength of the brand.
• Team building
• Recruiting and managing feedback both entry level and specialist level team members
• Coordinates tasks of team members, effectively delegating tasks within the Campaign Plan and tracking to set delivery time.

Implementation

• Designs the marketing budgets for Campaigns and controls costs; ensuring the team follows approved processes in supplier engagement and procurement of marketing services/elements even as they approve payments within the pre-set campaign budget.
• Responsible for Quality Control in the production Marketing Communication elements and branded apparel.
• Reviews and approves output of Campaigns Specialist, Trade Marketing Associate and Digital Marketing Associate within the campaign plan and escalates for final approval of main campaign elements to Head of Department.
• Empowered to make decisions within the campaign project to ensure the on-time delivery of integrated marketing communications initiatives.
• Ensure stakeholder engagement, both internal and external; represents the company in external stakeholder engagements and the department in internal conversations.

Knowledge and skills
Experience:
• 5yrs relevant experience in campaign planning and delivery
• Record of Success in high paced work environment such as FMCG, Banking & Finance or Telecoms
• Experience in leading teams of individual contributors
• Understands the Zambia Media Landscape and customer demographics.
• Budget Designing and Tracking
• Registered with ZIM

Qualifications:
• Degree in Marketing or Business

Language(s):
• English

Bachelor Degree
