JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
A graphic designer is a professional within the graphic design and graphic arts industry, who assembles images, typography or motion graphics to create a piece of design. A graphic designer creates the graphics primarily for published, printed or electronic media such as brochures and advertising.

(b) QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline, from a reputable learning institution.

(c) EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENT
• Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills.
• Three or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency.
• Experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.
• Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems.
• Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

(d) JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Plan concepts by studying relevant information and materials.
• Illustrate concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval.
• Prepare finished art by operating necessary equipment and software.
• Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers and colleagues as necessary.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
• Communicate with clients about layout and design.
• Create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as photoshop.
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements when necessary.

(e) TENURE
The positions are on Permanent and pensionable basis.

(f) REMUNERATION
The position of Marketing Analyst, Copy Writer and Graphic Designer are on Management Level, ML7.
