• Overall purpose of the job:
As the Marketing Officer at Kumalo Kwathu, your role would focus on developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the company’s products or services. The role will require face to face interactions with clients and digital marketing. In addition, it will involve support to the web developers whilst performing basic functions of managing the website.

Key responsibilities:
• Website: Overseeing the company’s website, ensuring it is user-friendly, up-to-date, and optimized for search engines. Collaborating with web developers and designers to implement improvements and track website performance of content is measured against clear KPI’s.
• Client Onboarding: Engage hotels, lodges, restaurants, car hires, events and travel and tours for onboarding onto the website. Provide after service support for the clients to ensure that they can full benefit of the website.
• Content: Writing engaging content for a variety of audiences that is consistent with brand guidelines. Keeping up to date and informed about all aspects of Kumalo Kwathu’s work.
• Social Media: Planning and coordinating a schedule of activity across Facebook, Twitter and Youtube and other platforms to expand our social media audience base.
• Advertising: Advertise the Kumalo Kwathu website in other platform to increase brand awareness and increase the users on the platform.
• Email Marketing: Plan and manage a regular schedule of email marketing activity, growing our subscriber base and creating engaging, relevant content including testing to optimize results.
• Prepare and manage MOUs with clients: Design and manage client MOUs regarding listing, usage, and benefits from using the website
• Reporting: Monitor, report and analyze results to improve performance, using tools such as Google analytics and others, so that amendments and improvements can be made where appropriate. Provide periodic reports to supervisor and director on agreed KPIs.
• Other: Keeping up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement. Undertaking any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.

Job Specification
Qualifications
• Diploma or degree level in Marketing, Business Administration, or similar field.
• Minimum 2 year’s work experience in marketing 1 of which should be in Digital Marketing.
• Knowledge of web design and development will be an added advantage.

Skills
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong writing skills, proof reading and editorial skills with a good eye for detail
• Strong analytical and ICT skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
• Ability to deliver on assigned tasks in remote work setting.

Knowledge and experience
• Experience in Client onboarding and client engagement. Experience in marketing in the hospitality sector will be an added advantage.
• Experience of managing and writing content for a website.
• Google Analytics and SEO experience.
• Experience of managing social media campaigns.
• Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital. campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
• Knowledge of marketing principles and brand management.
• Knowledge of effective social media techniques.
