JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
This Marketing Officer will be a professional who will write clear, concise copy for ads and marketing materials. Work closely alongside web and graphic designers to ensure their message is clear, whether in an email inbox or a website landing page.

(b) QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Communication, English, Journalism or Business related Field, from a reputable learning institution.

(c) EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENT
• Two or more years of professional copywriting experience, with solid portfolio of work.
• Exceptional writing and research skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides.
• Experience with content management systems.
• Keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design.

(d) JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Write clear, compelling copy for various mediums (e.g ads, blog posts, newsletters).
• Conduct thorough research and interviews.
• Work with creative professionals to build marketing projects and campaigns.
• Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice.
• Interpret copywriting briefs to understand the project requirements.
• Collaborate with designers, Public Relations and other professionals on large and small-scale Marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages).
• Conduct high quality research and interviews.
• Edit and proofread copy as needed.
• Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach.
• Source images and other content.
