JOB DETAILS:
Job Title: Mechanical Fitter – Engineering Department Novatek Lusaka (1)
The successful candidate will be responsible for the below:
• Carrying out daily inspections of the plant in order to ascertain if all machines and equipment are functioning as per normal.
• Repairing work involving stripping, checking, removing / replacing worn out parts, filters, tightening loose belts and nuts and checking general mechanical conditions of same in order to ensure continuous operations and achieve production targets.
• Prepares lists of spares / materials required and submits the same to superior and completes Job Cards reports on all work carried out highlighting work done.
• Adheres to planned maintenance schedules by carrying out servicing/ maintenance work, involving the changing of oil’s, filters, worn out parts, greasing/ lubricating and checking mechanical condition of same in order to prevent excessive wear and tear and enhance prolonged life
• Will be responsible for maintaining the quality and feed safety management system

The Required Qualifications are:
• Grade 12 certificate
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 years’ work experience hands on / Experience in feed mill plant, added advantage
The Required Attributes Include:
• Required computer literacy levels
• Works to an acceptable practice and standard procedures besides technical norms and refers to superior
• Ability to analyse and diagnose defects on plant / machinery / equipment and effect corrective measures
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Associate Degree
