Overview
The Zambia Metrology Agency (ZMA), a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and
Industry, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and interested candidates to fill the following vacant positions:
Position: Metrology Technician – Mechanical (1)

Purpose of The Job:
To maintain measuring instruments in order to facilitate calibration and ensure result traceability to International Standards and client satisfaction.

Qualifications
• Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Key Result Area And Responsibilities
• Maintenance of Measuring Instruments: Undertakes effectively the maintenance of measuring
instruments in order to ensure their availability and reliability for use.
• Measuring Instruments Setup: Undertakes effectively the setup of measuring instruments and
equipment to be calibrated in order to facilitate accurate calibration.
• Data Collection: Undertakes effectively the taking and recording of readings in order to facilitate calibration of instruments.
• Laboratory Cleaning: Ensures regularly the cleaning of the laboratory in order to ensure reliability of results and maintain a conducive working environment.
