The Company
• Agora Microfinance Zambia Limited (AMZ) is a licensed microfinance lending company that currently operates in the provinces of Zambia in 36 Districts. The mission of AMZ is to ‘Contribute to the economic well-being of the poor through effective provision of appropriate financial services.’

Job Overview
• The Insurance and Sales Officer is responsible for the Coordination, upscaling, Supervision, Sales, policies, compliance, and practices of the company insurance business. S/He ensures AMZ adheres to regulatory standards.

Requirements
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the Insurance industry is a must
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
3. Customer service oriented.
4. Analytical, highly organized, and pays attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Be the contact person for all the insurance products in AMZ.
2. Prepare insurance schedules for premiums as well as claims.
3. Ensure all claims are settled on time.
4. Liaise with Insurance companies for possible innovations.
5. Liaise with PIA and the auditors for compliance.
6. Arrange quarterly/monthly training for staff for compliance and product knowledge.
7. Look out for opportunities to upscale and increase uptake.
8. Liaise with AMZ funding partners for budget monitoring and reports.
9. Drive insurance sales in conjunction with Regional/Branch managers.
10. Ensure AMZ insurance policy is up to date and in line with business strategy.
