Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator
Overview

Our client in the tourism sector seeks to recruit a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator for the project they are undertaking in generating educational and economic outcomes for children and families who have been historically unsupported by available social services. You will be responsible for managing the overall framework for the organisations M+E systems, including data collection, management, analysis and reporting. You will also be tasked with developing new surveys and forms using ODK (Kobo Collect and Kobo Toolbox), as well as the monitoring and analysis of data on the organization’s newly established, bespoke dashboard.

Reporting To: Director
Interacts With: Members of Staff and Vulnerable Children
Job Description
• Managing the overall framework for the organisation’s M+E systems, including data collection, management, analysis and reporting
• Developing new surveys and forms using ODK (Kobo Collect and Kobo Toolbox), as well as the monitoring and analysis of data on the organisaiton’s newly established, bespoke dashboard
• Providing technical support in implementing M+E activities to ensure timely reporting of progress against key indicators and assisting in proper data management techniques
• Developing a Social Return on Investment report
Candidate Specification
Experience: 5 years plus
Education Level: Degree
Qualifications: Fluency in English (other languages a plus – esp. Chinyanja and/or French), demonstrated capacity to use project M+E to advance strategic goals and provide data for decision-making
Software: MS Office
Equipment: Job related
Knowledge Of: Experience of project monitoring and evaluation, including data management, data quality assurance, and research and evaluation, strong knowledge of M+E methodology, statistical analysis, performance evaluation and report writing
Skills To: English writing/grammar skills
Ability To: Use ODK or equivalent open source platform, coding on Excel, designing research databases, M+E training and capacity building
Other Requirements: Familiarity working with NGOs or other local development agencies preferred, familiarity and interest in working with vulnerable children preferred
