JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for trained professionals in Lusaka Zambia to join our family friendly team at Itty Bitties Nursery & Day Care Montessori.
At Itty Bitties Nursery & Day Care Montessori we believe in deeply respecting children, not interrupting when they are concentrating, allowing them to discover their own mistakes rather than pointing them out and observing without judgment. Therefore, the teachers must be able to:
• Encourage children to learn by placing the pupils, rather than themselves at the centre of the experience.
• Demonstrate and model learning activities whilst providing freedom for the students to learn in their own way.
• Manage classroom behaviours by modelling ongoing respect for all children and their work, by observing and using sensitive periods, interests and abilities to plan activity.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrate patience and compassion.
• Exhibit traits of a responsible and attentive person.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
• Possess knowledge of proper childcare techniques and early childhood development theory.
• Is capable of applying childhood development theory to everyday activities and curricula.
• Possess strong listening skills.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with young children.
• Exhibit strong leadership skills.
• Is able to think and act quickly in a crisis.
• Possess knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
• Exhibit ability to think creatively and innovatively when designing activities.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
• Possess physical and mental stamina required to oversee large numbers of young children on a daily basis.

Requirements
• Must be a qualified Montessori teacher with a Certificate or Diploma ,a Degree will be an added advantage.
• Must be registered with TCZ
• First aid certificate will be an added advantage

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Associate Degree
