Role: MINE GEOLOGIST
Reporting: CHIEF GEOLOGIST

Job Purpose:
• To facilitate orderly production activities through the provision of direct assistance to mine geology team in acquiring of data, tramming of ore, smooth operation of the ROM pad and accurate adherence to grade control protocols.

Responsibilities:
• Ensuring that all geology work is undertaken in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
• Ensuring the compilation and managing of all grade control plans
• Implementation of all grade controls plans issued by the Mine Planner, Chief Geologist
• Controlling and overseeing the production activities related to geology works.
• Ensuring all grade control sampling is undertaken and analysis of results are made available to the chief geologist on time.
• Ensuring grade control activities are done within budget.
• Strict adherence to geology safe working protocols and procedures
• Maintain Grade Control database management.
• Provision of the geology grade control development data
• Compile geology reports and reconciliation reports

Skills & Qualifications:
• Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent.
• BSc / BMinSc in geology from recognisable University.
• Experience and knowledge in minerals exploration or mining geology, preferably underground.
• Basic Underground Common Core
• Experience with any geology mining/exploration software is essential.
• Familiar with various mining methods.
• Able to make quick, logical decisions.
• Supervise and lead others.
• Ability to draw up strategic plans.

Role: Boomer Operator (X3)
Reporting: Shift Boss

Job Purpose:
• Plan, execute mine cycle works of drilling and supporting of development ends according to the designed mine layout, to ensure development and production targets are attained safely and cost effectively.

Responsibilities:
• Ensuring work is done to the given specifications and to the adopted standards.
• Employ SOPs and SWPs to make development drilling works comply to standards.
• Carrying out face drills related works with full caution of work are safety for personnel and equipment.
• Ensuring 100% compliance to planned machine PMs and servicing.
• Ensure work area checklist and inspections are conducted.
• Always be readily available to get instructions for work areas.
• Carrying out drill and install the support in current ends.
• Carrying out drill and install additional support (rehabilitation) in the Ore Body drives.
• Carrying out drill related work safely.
• Determine correct turning angles to avoid damage to the unit on transportation.
• Ensuring communication with line-up supervisor for materials, machines and equipment needs.
• Feedback for proper completion of works before demobilizing.

Skills & Qualifications:
• At least a grade 12 school certificate
• Professional experienced in operating the Boomer Drill Rig
• Experience in working in underground environment with the Boomer Drill Rig
• Minimum 5 years work experience in operating the Boomer Drill Rig for production and related works.
• Holder of the Zambian Mine Blasting Licence for all operations
• Safety conscious
• Good at interpersonal skills
• Hazard identification and control measures
