Overview
Scope Zambia, a national partnership non-profit making organisation whose core business is inclusive, participatory, practical and holistic environmental education and sustainable land use in schools and colleges is seeking a versatile, dynamic, self-motivated, highly credible and suitably qualified individual to fill the vacant position of:
National Coordinator
Duty Station: Location: Lusaka
Reporting to the SCOPE Board Chairperson, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following
• Overall strategic leadership of the organisation to ensure the relevance, impact and cost effectiveness of the organisation
• Providing back-up and capacity building support to SCOPE Zambia member organisations and other beneficiaries in the areas of permaculture and other areas as determined from time to time
• Human resource management and capacity development of SCOPE Zambia staff and volunteers
• Monitoring all aspects of compliance with statutory obligations and all contractual agreements.
• Leading high-level networking and representation of the organisation at various forums and with various stakeholders from the government, donor community, civil society, private sector, and other constituencies on program related issues.
• Initiating, developing and maintaining viable partnerships with both funding and implementing partners of SCOPE Zambia to ensure that SCOPE Zambia maintains its status as a reputable and professional organisation.
• Reporting to the Board of Governors on a regular basis on the implementation of programmatic and operational progress, and risks related to the implementation of the organization’s strategy and programmes.
• Ensuring project reports are submitted timely to all funding partners and the SCOPE Zambia Board
• Leading in resource mobilization for scaling up of SCOPE Zambia interventions, operational execution and organizational sustainability.
• Ensuring the implementation and regular review of a robust Monitoring and Evaluation System and Coordinating the documentation and sharing of the experiences of SCOPE Zambia interventions through timely reports, newsletters, website updates and other forms

Required Qualifications, Competencies and Attributes
• Master’s Degree in Agriculture or any other related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with organizing and/or movement-building
• Relevant knowledge of key issues in permaculture, sustainable agriculture, food, or trade.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with fundraising or growing a membership organization
• Commitment to the vision, values, and principles of SCOPE Zambia
• Proficiency in Local languages is an added advantage

Additional Information
• Some travel is required
• Class B drivers’ license is required
• Ideal start date is February 1st 2022; position will remain open until filled by the right person
