JOB DETAILS:
General Duties
The Network & Security Officer shall work as a strategic support staff to the IS Department and be responsible for designing, planning, organizing, monitoring, installing, and supporting ABZ’s Computer Systems. Designs and installs LANs, WANs, WLANS, intranet systems, and network segments.

Among other responsibilities, you will be expected to:
• Act as a central point of administration for ABZ Network systems computing Technology platforms and determine network as well as system requirements.
• Perform all ABZ systems LAN, WAN, & WLAN Security Management functions and audits including Monitoring all system access requests; validation of needs and evaluation of appropriate access levels needed for system access.
• Ensure Network Systems are secure on all ABZ Infrastructure including the administration of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Ensure that Service Level Agreements with external provider/companies is well defined and has all of the necessary technical consideration.
• Coordinate scheduled and emergency service and maintenance with LAN,WAN & WLAN server system vendors whilst monitoring, tracking and preparing periodic reports on LAN,WAN & WLAN server systems availability, performance and capacity.
• Administer and Manage Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Mail Gateways, Anti-spam/Anti-Virus Appliance, VOIP Devices; and data network by securing access to resources, maintaining equipment and monitoring their performance.
• Plan and test emergency and Disaster Recovery Strategies (BCP) for ABZ Network Infrastructure.

Your Minimum Qualifications and Competencies should:
• Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or comparable qualification with 3+ years’ experience
• Exceptional analytical, verbal- and written- communication
skills.
• Ability to implement and troubleshoot network problems.
• Ability to install, maintain, modify, and upgrade network software i.e.
• Operating Systems, firewalls and antivirus
• Ability to operate on a scheduled 24-hour on-call basis.
• Conversant with OS security principles network security principles, and general OS management best practices.
• Must be a Member of ICTAZ.
