Job Description

• Interpret the prescriptions
  
• Count pills according to the prescription
  
• Package the prescriptions
  
• Accurately dispense medications
  
• Respond to patient queries and direct them to pharmacists for clarification on issues concerning drug information and interaction
  
• Ensure that the security and proper storage of drugs is maintained
  
• Maintain drug inventory and place drug orders
  
• Label medicines, supplies, and chemicals properly
  
• Maintain patient profiles and records of all medications given
  
• Participate on in the environmental hygiene of the promises
  
• Participate on in infection prevention and control program
  
• Participate in the quality improvement department programs;
  

Job Profile

A2 in General Nursing with Knowledge in Pharmacy Key

Technical Skills & Required knowledge:

• Deep knowledge of clinical protocols,standards and procedures
  
• Care, Compassion and Communication Skills
  
• Infection Prevention and Control Knowledge
  
• Active Listening & Observation Skills
  
• Social Perceptiveness
  
• Skills on Dealing with emotionally charged situations
  
• Computer knowledge (Work Processing, Power Point and Internet)
  
• Analytical and problem solving skills;
  
• Time management skills;
  
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; Knowledge of all is an advantage
