Reports To: Head Of Department(HOD) Job Summary:
• As a Nursing School Leccturer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the education and academic success of nursing students. Your primary responsibility will be to provide
• individual and group tutoring sessions, helping students grasp complex nursing concepts, enhance their clinical skills, and excel in their coursework. This role requires a deep
• understanding of nursing curriculum, strong communication skills, and a passion for fostering the development of future healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Support:
• Conduct one-on-one and group tutoring sessions for nursing students.
• Assist students in understanding and mastering nursing theory, principles, and procedures.
• Create customized study plans and resources tailored to individual student needs.
• Review course materials, textbooks, and assignments to prepare for tutoring sessions.
2. Clinical Skills Enhancement:
• Provide hands-on guidance and practice to help students improve clinical skills.
• Demonstrate proper techniques related to patient care, assessments, and procedures.
• Facilitate skill check-offs and simulated patient care scenarios.
• Offer constructive feedback and tips for clinical competence.
3. Subject Matter Expertise:
• Stay updated on nursing curriculum and course requirements.
• Keep abreast of current healthcare practices and evidence-based nursing standards.
• Assist students in understanding complex nursing topics such as pharmacology, pathophysiology, and patient assessment.
4. Progress Monitoring:
• Track and document student progress during tutoring sessions.
• Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses, adjusting tutoring strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with faculty and academic coordinators to address specific student needs.
5. Resource Development:
• Create and update study guides, practice exams, and educational materials
• Recommend relevant textbooks, online resources, and supplementary materials to students.
6. Communication and Collaboration:
• Maintain open and effective communication with nursing faculty and academic staff.
• Collaborate with other tutors and academic support services to enhance overall student success.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree in nursing.
• Active and unrestricted nursing license.
• Strong academic performance in nursing coursework.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
• Previous tutoring, teaching, or clinical instruction experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of nursing curriculum, clinical skills, and assessment methods.
