JOB DETAILS:
• Operator, Ancillary (Grader)

Job description:
Purpose of the role:
To safely operate equipment on which he/she is trained on and permitted.

Key Responsibilities:
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include:
o Operate machine safely and competently
o Follow operating manuals and general pit and safety signage
o Report all defects on the machine and care for the machine
o Conduct all pre and post-shift inspections and maintenance on equipment and working environment
o Report all defects on a machine and care for the machine
o Follow correct instructions from the respective supervisor and laid down procedure and regulations.
o Ensure good house-keeping
o Performs other related duties that may be required.

Qualifications And Experience
o Full Grade 12 Certificate.
o Competent in Operating Mining Ancillary Equipment (Grader, Dozer)
o At least three (3) years’ experience working in an open pit mine
o Valid Silicosis
o Valid First Aid Certificate will be an added advantage

Education Requirement: No Requirements

Work Hours: 8
