Overall Job Purpose:
Operator, Laboratory will be responsible for assisting in the materials testing, analysis and interpreting of tests, report writing and other duties as may be assigned by the Team Leader, Laboratory.

Specific Job Responsibilities:
Operator, Laboratory required to perform the following tasks:
• Conducting construction materials tests on KML site.
• Producing materials testing reports.
• Record keeping.
• Ensuring the laboratory equipment and infrastructure is kept in a well serviceable condition.
• Maintain a record of the laboratory equipment and condition.
• House keeping.
• Other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Team Leader to ensure the laboratory is in a safe and operable condition

Job Specific Competencies:
• Driver’s Licence.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.
• Excellent report writing skill.

Experience required to perform in this job:
Minimum 3 Years working in a soils and concrete testing laboratory.

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Certificate in construction materials testing.
