Job Description
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly motivated and committed employees for the position of Operator – 4500/930E Haul Units to join the versatile mining team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out all duties associated with 4500/930E Haul Trucks operations in mining department.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Hauling material
• Operate the machine in a manner that will not result in undue or unnecessary equipment breakdown.
• Maintain efficient and safe operational status of the machine by conducting prestart checks daily.
• Report all defects on the Machine to the maintenance and dispatch section.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in the mining industry
• Must be certified to operate Haul Trucks in the category of Hitachi 4500/5500, Komatsu 930/960, or Liebherr T284 Rigid Dump Trucks.
• Must have sound Knowledge of safe working procedures and mine operations.
• Must be able to pass psychometric/ Dover Tests
• Holder of Class C driving license is an added advantage.
