Our client in Lusaka is looking for an Optometrist to join their team for a job vacancy within the health industry.

Optometrist
Supported with reception/sales staff & visiting Ophthalmologist.

Requirements & Qualifications
• BSc Optometrist with minimum 3 years’ experience
• Competent with refraction skills
• Competent paediatric eye examination
• Efficient Slit lamp examination
• Efficient Ocular tomography
• Fundus photography
• Visual field perimetry
• Pachymetry
• Ability to treat minor ocular conditions with range or drugs/treatment plan or refer to Ophthalmologist if needed.
• Contact lens knowledge & fitting experience (mostly simple soft lenses)
• Dispensing knowledge & experience
• Basic lab knowledge which candidate can be trained on as well.
• Simple frame adjustments
• Good communication, explanation of condition & building of relationship with patient.
• Proficient in English language
• Very well equipped with Topcon equipment; slit lamp, OCT. Fundus photography, Pachymeter, Tonometer, Visual field analyser.
• Bonus: vision therapy experience but not necessary
