Performance Management – Specialist (HO) (1 POST)
GRADE: BoZM6
Job Purpose
To promote a high-performance culture that aligns employees’ output to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the Bank.
Main Accountabilities
• Provide input to the design and review of performance management policies and procedures to embed a performance driven culture and the Bank’s performance management capability.
• Provide advice and guidance to management and all staff in the implementation of the performance management system and review tools to achieve the strategic objectives of the Bank.
• Analyse audit reports, departments’ strategic performance reports, post training action plans and performance appraisal reports to gauge the efficacy of the performance management policy and guidelines in as far as their alignment to Bank’s strategy is concerned.
• Validate performance appraisal results which are an input to the performance related pay (PRP) to ensure compliance with policy provisions.
• Recommend appropriate performance enhancement schemes to motivate staff towards performance and productivity improvement.
• Process performance appraisals and prepare a report on the Bank-wide picture of the performance rating distribution to influence decision making in the review of policy and procedures.
• Undertake research to recommend improvements to the system and policy direction.
• Maintain a database of all performance contracts and appraisal reports to facilitate institutional memory.
• Implement the Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) in order to improve staff performance.
• Provide human resources expertise on projects.
Qualifications and Experience
• MSc/MA/MBA in Human Resources Management/Social Sciences or equivalent plus holder of valid practicing certificate from the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).
• Five (5) years’ practical experience at middle or senior management level in a reputable organisation.
• Grade 12 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ Levels (Credit or better).
