JOB DETAILS:
The North Western Provincial Health Office under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is seeking for eligible, self-motivated and qualified applicants for the position listed below at Provincial level

JOB TITLE: PROCUREMENT OFFICER (1 POSITION)

Job Purpose:
• To undertake the procurement process in order to ensure timely availability of goods and services.
• Undertakes effectively the maintenance of a supplier register in order to establish a reliable supplier base
• Undertakes timely the preparation of bidding documents in order to facilitate bid invitations
• Undertakes timely procurement of goods and services in order to ensure their availability
• Undertakes timely preparation and submission of procurement reports in order to ensure compliance

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
· Secondary Education: Full Form V or Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 O level credits or better
Professional Qualifications: Degree in Purchasing & Supplies or equivalent
Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
• At least 3 years relevant work experience
• Must be a member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)

Communication Skills:
i) Written Skills :Able to write comprehensive reports
ii) Oral Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English
Other Skills/Attributes:
• Computer literate, honest, negotiation skills

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
