JOB DETAILS:
PATH seeks a Procurement Officer for the ATSB study. The Procurement Officer will work under the supervision of the Finance and Operations Manager to support procurement of goods and services.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate execution of local procurements including supplies, venue bookings for meetings, workshops and trainings Obtain quotations from suppliers and analyse quotations Obtain appropriate review and approval before purchase order is issued Prepare documents and attend Procurement Review Committee Keep an updated procurement list on Box Transmit and prioritize approved purchase orders and supporting documents to suppliers Review, update, and maintain purchase order records until they are closed Track deliveries and make sure the project team receives exactly what was ordered from suppliers Facilitate movement of supplies from Lusaka to Kaoma office Assist domestic and international travel arrangements for staff and visitors Maintain log sheets and fuel reconciliation for both project and hired vehicles Communicate communicating vehicle movements with the car hire companies. This includes communicating the number of vehicles to travel, on what date, and inspection of the vehicles for PATH standards (including insurance coverage). Give updates on procurement status for all procurements Attend team meetings Execute any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of Advanced Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from a recognized Institution of learning.
• Not less than 5 years of work experience in a procurement and supply in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferably a member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
• Must be a self-starter, self-motivated with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• Computer literate (especially MS Office and MS Outlook).
• Good communication skill, independent worker and team player Work experience in an NGO environment will be an added advantage
