JOB DETAILS:
• The Young Women’s Christian Association seeks a qualified and experienced candidate for the position of a Procurement Officer . The Officer will manage the day to day procurement activities and ensure that services and goods procured are both cost efficient and of good quality.

Responsiblities.
1 Operationalize the existing procurement manual by preparing a plan for implementation.
2 Review Associations existing Procurement Policy and make recommendations for improvement to the Finance Committee through the Finance Manager.
3 Orient staff on the Manual and on procurement standards and practices.
4 Update and develop a data base for suppliers.
5 Manage day to day procurement functions – placing inquiries orders , inspection of goods upon receipt and maintenance of procurement records in liaison with the organizational and project administrative assistants
6 Maintain good relationships with Suppliers.

Education And Skills.
• Diploma in Purchasing and Supply
• Advanced Certificate Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
• Degree in Business Administration added advantage
• 5 Years’ experience in procurement in a reputable organization.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
