JOB DETAILS:
Our client, a state-owned enterprise, based in Lusaka, responsible for spearheading the development of Zambia's domestic industrial capacity, creating jobs and playing a critical role in the establishment and sustainability of industries across the agriculture, livestock and forestry value chains, tourism, manufacturing, mining, infrastructure and financial services requires innovative, dynamic, results-oriented professionals with a high level of integrity to fill the above vacant position.

JOB PURPOSE
To conduct the day-to-day operations of the procurement activities effectively and efficiently through timely sourcing of goods, services, works and consulting services to meet the organisation's requirements.
Key Result Areas and Principal Accountabilities (include but are not limited to the following)
• Departmental Planning and Budgeting
• Provides input to Senior Procurement Officer into the departmental work plan and budget.
• Minimises operational costs by ensuring that divisional expenditure remains within budget approval and savings made from budget. Preparation of Bidding of bidding documents
• Undertakes market research to ensure purchases are sourced from the most competitive sources as directed by Senior Procurement Officer
• Supports, prepares and draft contracts for goods, works and services
• Tender Evaluation Procedures
• Conducts research and analysis on matters that will add value to all areas of procurement
• Preparation of Tender Documents Compliance
• Adheres to all aspects of regulatory compliance regarding the respective Procurement Policies and in conformity ZPPA guidelines Adheres to a strong culture of ethics and corporate compliance

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Full Grade Twelve School Certificate
• Bachelor's degree in Public Procurement, Procurement and Supply, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, and/or equivalent, Professional Qualification le Chartered Institute of Supply Procurement, and Supply (CIPS) in relevant field from reputable institution.
• Practicing Certificate-Zambia Institute of Purchasing & Supply Professional Membership
• Two years' relevant work experience or similar position.
• Skill Specifications and Attributes for all positions Excellent leadership skills and mature disposition
• Outstanding problem solving and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate and communicate complex topics in a variety of forums, tailoring communications to effectively fit and influence the targeted audience, strong executive presence, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with key internal and external leaders, partners, suppliers, and customers.
• Report writing and presentation skills.
• Data management and record keeping.
