Circus Zambia is looking for someone replace its current Programs Manager for a fixed term period. Your responsibilities include to implement and monitor social programs. Circus Zambia has an educational program and different social programs that focus on life skills, such HIV/AIDS prevention, gender equality, human rights and other issues. We need you to ensure these projects are well implemented, effective and measured.
Circus Zambia
Circus Zambia was established in December 2015 and is a social circus. Through circus activities which include education and soft skills, we provide young people with holistic support to develop their bodies, minds and souls. We do this in order for young people to become change makers in their community, creating a movement of confident, knowledgeable and engaged youths.
Circus Zambia started from the grass roots level, with circus artist from Chibolya and a Dutch development worker coming together to create a vision. Now we work with over 500 youth directly and reach over 5000 young people on an annual basis. We have toured Japan, the UK and the USA and have built a 200 seat-theatre and training hall in Kabulonga which was opened by the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, in 2018.
The position
The programs manager main goal is to ensure all the objectives as set out for social programs are met. They will work together with the artistic director and executive director and different teams of trainers and facilitators to ensure all projects run smoothly, are monitored and their impact is measured. .
Main tasks are:
• Monitoring the implementation of different projects. Which entails
o Organize and chair meetings with project team
o Work with workplans and time lines to ensure activities are implemented in accordance with project plan
o Work with log frames to ensure activities are in line with desired objectives.
• Design M&E tools for projects
• Ensure M&E exercises are executed and data is collected and analysed
• Write reports for different projects

Requirements
• At least 2 years experience in programs management/project implementation
• And/or a bachelor degree in project management, social studies or similar study.
• Available 3 days a week starting Mid July – Mid October 2020
• Able to work independently without constant guidance
• Committed and enthusiastic attitude
