Brethren in Christ Church – Choma Children Development Project (BICC-CCDP) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in 2002 as part of the compassionate ministry of the Brethren in Christ Church in Zambia. Our vision is to create an environment where children and women are valued, health, respected, and listened to. This will be achieved by promoting the well-being of women and children through the fulfilment of their basic rights.
BIC-CCDP has a number of projects being implemented in Choma district to help vulnerable communities realize their full potential. The projects thematic areas of focus include Women empowerment, Child protection, Water improvement and sanitation, Food security, Environmental protection, HIV/AIDS, and Humanitarian assistance.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programs Manager to lead our programmatic activities and ensure the effective implementation of our projects. The ideal candidate should be passionate about child protection, women’s empowerment, and community development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programs in alignment with BICC-CCDP’s goals and objectives.
- Lead program staff and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies for all projects’ thematic areas.
- Strengthen partnerships with government agencies, donors, community stakeholders, and other NGOs.
- Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of programs, including data collection and reporting.
- Prepare and submit timely reports to management, donors, partners, and relevant stakeholders.
- Manage program budgets and ensure financial accountability.
- Advocate for policies and programs that promote the rights and welfare of children and women.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in program management within an NGO setting.
- Strong knowledge of child protection, women empowerment, gender empowerment, climate change, climate smart Agriculture and community development initiatives.
- Proven experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, donors, and community members.
- Must be computer literate
- Fluent in local language of the catchment area.
- Should possess a valid Motor vehicle /Motorbike license
- Must be one with strong personality and ethical values
