MTN (Zambia) Limited is a leading telecommunication company in Zambia that undertakes its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) activities through the MTN Zambia Foundation (Foundation).

The Foundation was established in 2021 as an independent entity which is governed by a Board of Trustees and supported and funded by MTN Zambia. The Foundation has implemented various programmes and activities over the past years and has received awards in recognition for the good work.

Job Description:

The MTN Foundation Coordinator will oversee the effective management and implementation of the Foundation’s projects and activities in Zambia as will liaise with the Foundation Board of Trustees, MTN Zambia General Manager -Corporate Services and the various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for strategic planning and implementation of all programmes in line with the Foundations objectives, MTN Group CSI Policy and Directives;
  • Coordinates with internal and external teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, prepare the reports and oversee the monitoring and evaluation process;
  • Responsible for financial management of all the Foundation activities and track budget performance and reporting;
  • Monitors and manages all CSI activities online, ensuring that social media platforms operated by the Foundation are up to date with content;
  • Oversees the day-to-day interactions with digital media and creative advertising agencies, collaborating to develop strategies and media content that distinguish the MTN Zambia Foundation in the market;
  • Liaises with internal teams to ensure the Foundation’s projects are highlighted on the MTN Zambia website;
  • Coordinates and provides administrative support to the Board Secretary and the General Manager – Corporate Services to ensure effective communication between the Foundation and the Board;
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly reports as well as annual reports;
  • Manages the documentation and media coverage of all Foundation activities and archive them for future reference;
  • Maybe required to support MTN Zambia Yello Care activities and any communications and CSI activities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Development Studies, Project Management or any humanities and social science field;
  • Master’s Degree in Development Studies or Project Management is an added advantage;
  • At least 10 years proven experience working with donor agencies or community-based organisations or Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO);
  • Experience in project management and coordination;
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency in digital media management and social media platforms;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders;
  • Experience in fund raising, budget management and financial reporting.
