JOB DETAILS:
As a project manager for Kua Solar Zambia you will be part of an exciting company that will be focused on delivering off-grid power solutions to rural provinces and districts in Zambia. The role will be all encompassing and you shall be directly reporting to and working alongside our Business Development Officer and Managing Director. The right candidate will be a flexible and hard worker who is able to deal with complex issues as they arise and find practical solutions when necessary. You must lead by example in your attitude and work ethic and be able to spend time both in the field to assist in setting up project centres as well in our Lusaka office.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Innovate and Lead Projects: Design scope out, implement, manage, and monitor specific projects and initiatives to improve effectiveness and efficiency Manage relationships with
• stakeholders and partners including our offices in the UK, Tanzania and Uganda.
• Draft business reports and analysis on an ongoing basis Manage a team of engineers and sales representatives who will report to you.
• Work with Project Team to ensure deadlines, contract conditions and scope are met. Track project costs and cash flows.
• Track project costs and cash flows.
• Prepare budgets based on scope of work and work plan. Develop and maintain project plans and schedules.
• Manage project stakeholders (clients, consultants, suppliers, sub-contractors, etc.. Review and Manage contracts with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure Installation safety requirements are met in projects. Attend project/stakeholder meetings and support wider team.
• Initiate and implement processes to improve project management/administration, delivery, and handover efficiency.
• Monitor progress of works and projects to ensure that milestones and performance indicators are met, preparation of reports as required.
• Prepare and complete required HSE and quality documentation, and ensure contractors are accountable for HSE matters, delivery timelines and quality workmanship. Strong focus on safety management.
• Manage procurement and administration of the projects. Regular reporting and liaising with the client.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Education Bachelor's Degree in Energy or Business Administration with experience in management of large scale solar projects or equivalent from a recognized university/institution
• Member of a relevant professional body.
• Experience
• Reading and analysing Solar Designs and Management Plans. Sound understanding of commercial electrical/Solar & BESS installations. Sound scheduling and administrative experience.
• Confident and competent using MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Superior attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills and capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills including outstanding written and verbal English Experience in working alongside personnel from a range of different countries, cultures, and age groups.
• Experience and knowledge of the Green Energy Solutions industry.
