JOB DETAILS:
Goldenlay Agri Ltd is the largest producer, supplier, and distributor of table eggs across Zambia, and boasting a brand familiar to retailers and consumers alike. Goldenlay is hereby inviting applications from suitable qualified candidates to fill the position of Projects Foreman

Reporting structure:
• The Job holder will be reporting to the Operations and Maintenance Manager,
• He will oversee the Company’s building team, Support services staff and seasonal employees.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the company’s building team and oversee construction works,
• Ensure the lawns are well maintained and kept clean,
• Ensure fire breaks around fences are created on a timely basis and maintained,
• Ensure a spraying of herbicides around fences and any other areas as requested by supervisor is coordinated,
• Provide all the required tools and materials to ensure smooth running of operations,
• Maintain the relevant project documents and records,
• Timely removal of sludge and scum from all wastewater storage ponds and ensure timely emptying when full,
• Ensure all non – biodegradable and non – recyclable wastes are transported to the appropriate dumping site outside company premises,
• Ensure subordinates undertake works in a safe manner and ensure all required health and safety permits are authorized,
• Ensure PJHA are undertaken and documented,
• Drive around project personnel and materials,
• Carry out any other duties as instructed by the supervisor.

Skills and attributes:
• Driving ability – able to drive a small truck,
• People’s management, must have supervisory skills,
• Computer literate – able to use word, excel, outlook, etc
• Fast leaner, able to adapt in a fast-paced environment,
• Able to interpret Engineering drawings,
• Team player with good communication skills.

Experience and qualifications:
• Full Grade 12 certificate, with credits or better in English language and Mathematics,
• A craft certificate in Building Construction or related subject will be an added advantage,
• 2 years’ experience in a similar position managing a diverse team,
• A clean and valid Class C1 driving license a must with at least 2 years driving experience,
• First Aid certificate will be an added advantage.
