REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR AN ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING FIRM
The Luangwa Livelihood and Conservation Activity is a five-year, US$10m USAID-funded Cooperative Agreement, between the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Frankfurt Zoological Society of Zambia (FZS). The Programme seeks to enhance the resilience and health of natural resource-dependent ecological and human communities in the North Luangwa Valley (LV) of Zambia through strong public-private-community partnerships and enterprise, to maintain and improve the state of natural resources, such as the population size and key species, or the area of land under effective management.
Local community members in target areas will benefit from improved nutrition and access to safe water, educational services, and diversified and sustainable conservation-compatible livelihoods.
One of its Strategic Objectives (Objective 3) is Advocacy and Access to Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Services, and Safe Water improved in target areas. This will require the construction of 100 new boreholes and rehabilitating dysfunctional ones at sites to be identified in Chifunda, Chikwa, Mukungule and Nabwalya Chiefdoms in the North Luangwa Landscape.
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for an Architectural and Engineering (A/E) Firm to assist with the borehole site selection, as well as guide and supervise the process of drilling and rehabilitation of boreholes in the above chiefdoms of the North Luangwa Landscape.

3. Preparation of bids Interested A/E Firms prepare bids in response to this RFP; the companies should use the format as per the full RFP.
A/E Firms to submit Company Profile with current Tax Clearance Certificates, Technical and Financial Proposal.
4. RFP closure All bids should be submitted either physically to the FZS office (Plot 2658 Aloe Farm Chifwema Road, Lusaka), or electronically to mambwe.mhango@fzs.org or Jennifer.chansa@fzs.org by 14:00hrs (Lusaka time), 13th September 2023 any proposal received after the time and date stipulated above will not be accepted.
