JOB DETAILS:


Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a clear-sighted understanding of the unmet needs and challenges of Zambian smallholder farmers.
• Develop product and service propositions which address these needs and challenges with respect to Financial Services and Agriculture.
• Develop productive relationships with Financial Services and Agriculture partners as well as the developmental organizations / donors who focus on these vitally important topics.
• Identify grant and / or partnership opportunities related to Financial Services and Agriculture and leading on the development of related proposals.
• Planning and implementation of projects related to our Financial Services and Agriculture offering including coordination of internal / external stakeholders.

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• A Degree in Development Sciences/Economics, Environment, Agriculture or Engineering; a Master’s Degree in these fields is an added advantage.
• 5+ years of experience in project management roles, able to implement projects in a cross-functional organization.
• Strong understanding of the agricultural sector and smallholder farmers and ability to translate that knowledge into new project proposals and commercial opportunities
• Experience working with donors and grant funded projects, strategic understanding how donor funding can enable the development of viable and sustainable solutions
• Strong intrapersonal skills, communication and ability to develop strong relationships with a diversity of stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills in writing to be able to express complex projects and ideas through written communications such as grant applications and project presentations
• Entrepreneurial background is valued – those who have started or contributed significantly to a particular project, team, or new company and we especially value candidates who have seen projects through from start to finish, from design to scale up phase.
• Must have very strong literacy in Microsoft Office/Google suite products.
• Must have excellent command of written and verbal communication skills.
