MaraPhones would like to fill the following position of Quality Control Engineer for its factory in Rwanda.
Min Qualification
5 years’ experience in Electro-Mechanical Assembly
Industry Experience
• 3 years’ experience as Quality Control Supervisor
• Strong knowledge of quality standards in the mobile manufacturing industry
Core Duties
Supervise the quality control department including staff, policies, QA & QC activities, and QC processes and metrics
Core Duties & Responsibilities
• Implement testing procedures according to industry standards
• Develop QC procedures and recommend improvements to management to increase speed and efficiency
• Supervise the selection, workflow, training, and development of staff
• Interact with the other departments to test and assess the quality of product output
• Supervise product testing to ensure procedure accuracy
• Develop and implement quality assurance programs to meet production standards and customer requirements
• Develop operations procedures, reporting and quality results
• Investigate quality issues and systematically develop mitigation plans
• Implement Continuous improvement & Quality control processes
• Ensure teams follow established rules for handling quality control issues
• Document detailed failure analysis, repairs made and test results for all service/repairs
• Provide regular QC reports and Service quality & reliability metrics
• Develop & maintain inspection plans and service & repair procedures
Requirements & Skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to be a team player in a collaborative and environment
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and processes
• Practice Lean Manufacturing, JIT, Six Sigma other quality improvement methods
• Ability to manage operations personnel
• Extremely organized with good follow thru.
• Familiar in reading engineering drawings
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task successfully in a deadline-intensive environment
• Ability to learn quickly, self-teach, take initiative, and adapt easily to changes
