Inades-Formation Rwanda (Institut Africain pour le Développement Economique et Social) is a local non-profit organisation. It is member of a network; Inades-Formation, operating in ten countries of Africa: Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Republic Democratic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Togo.

Inades-Formation Rwanda was founded in 1976 and officially recognised by the Government of Rwanda in 1977 (Ministerial Order N0 119 of August 22, 1977, revised by the Ministerial Order N0 75/11 of April 18, 2006). Since 2012, all national NGOs are governed by Rwanda Governance Board – RGB, by the new law N0 04/2012 of 17 February 2012 governing the organization and functioning of national Non-Governmental Organizations. The office of Inades-Formation Rwanda is located on “Boulevard de l’Aéroport de Kigali”, Remera Sector, Gasabo District, in Kigali City.

To ensure the successful execution of the contracts signed with the UN organizations (FAO, UN Women and WFP) in the joint program “Accelerating Progress towards the Economic Empowerment of Rural Women: RWEE”; the National Office of Inades-Formation Rwanda would like to recruit RWEE Project Coordinator.

Duration of contracts: One year

The probability of renewal of the employment contract will also depend on the possibility of a renewal of the contract services signed.

The project officer will perform the following tasks:
Lead, coordinate, facilitate and finalize project implementation planned activities;

Coordinate all project M&E and communication components to ensure that the project results are adequately documented and disseminated.

Ensure regular update of project action plans and regular monitoring of the project achievements towards the defined results;

Coordinate the outsourced activities under implementation of consultancy services

Coordinate the development of the project M&E tool and ensure its implementation for a regular tracking of the project achievements.

Produce quarterly reports for final approval by IFR Country Director and to be submitted to the Donor.

Perform other tasks requested by his/her supervisors and which are met to ensure the achievement of the project expected results.

Competencies and Qualifications

The required competencies and qualifications are as follow:

  • Be a Rwandan citizen;
  • Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture (agri-business, crop production, and agro-economics), Project management, Economics, Nutrition, Public Health and or any other related field; A Master’s degree is an added value.
  • Have a proven working experience of at least 5 years managing or coordinating projects;
  • At least have worked with development partners (like FAO, UN Women, WFP, UNICEF, and others) in the planning and Management of projects;
  • Proven experience working in a team and working with partners in the implementation of a project;
  • Commitment to promoting women’s capacity by understanding and contribute to addressing challenges which constrain women;
  • Experience in campaigning, advocacy and influencing work, ideally with experience on women’s rights issues, including ending gender-based violence and violence against women and girls;
  • Proven to influence and to negotiate Donors of Service Delivery and Call for Proposals;
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and reporting skills;
  • Has the capacity to manage his work independently;
  • Excellent command of English and Kinyarwanda and outstanding written in the two languages. The knowledge of French will be an advantage;
  • Possess project management skills in planning, implementing agriculture projects;
  • Possess skills and knowledge of M§ E tools;
  • Have a minimum knowledge of citizen participation;
  • Possess skills and knowledge of research.
  • Planning for the project by setting project goals, deliverables, and relevant supporting plans.
  • Monitoring and control by overseeing all the tasks and metrics necessary to ensure that the project is within scope, on time and on budget.

  • Observation, active listening and analysis skills with the ability to make a sound judgment
  • Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners and community members
  • Attention to details, accuracy, and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities
  • Proactive, results-oriented and service-oriented

ADDED ADVANTAGE:

  • Having a driving license category A or B,
  • Experience working in similar fields,
  • Experience working with UN-funded programs.

The dossiers are to be submitted physically not later than October 26th, 2018 at Inades-Formation Rwanda’s main office located at “Boulevard of Kigali International Airport, Remera Sector, Gasabo District, in the vicinity of Christus Center. The dates of the written test and the interview will be communicated later to the candidates who meet the aforementioned qualifications, conditions, and aptitudes.
